Re: Pyrex Tea Pot
The "squat" teapot appears to date from ~ 1926 to ~ 1935. The switch to a pressed glass manufacturing process around the end of that period probably explains its disappearance. Numbers 22, 24, and 26 corresponded to 2, 4, and 6 cup capacities. The metal lid and tea ball were likely third p...

Re: Pyrex Tableware from Restaurants?
Corning offered custom Pyrex dinnerware, most of which seen is that of hotels, restaurants, and military branches. The Pacific Air Forces pattern is also seen with the bands unbroken. The red pattern on the bowl is called Chariot, and is also seen on plates and other pieces. Several others at: http:...

Re: Vintage Pyrex
Does not sound typical. You can compare it to those on this page: http://www.pyrexcollector.com/dating.php but none of those have the word Pyrex arched. A photo would help.

Re: Clear 400 series bowls
These are also seen marked 740x and with both imperial and metric capacities. At some point, the plain clear 7400s were changed to a fluted/ribbed design. Edit: I did some more digging, and it appears they are from late 1980s, with the switch to the "sculptured" design in the early 1990s. ...

Re: Clear 400 series bowls
These are tough to pin down. I have access to many catalogs and other literature, but haven't found anything among them yet. The only ones I've seen have metric capacity and microwave on them, so that would be mid-1970s at the earliest.
