This one has certainly increased in value since 1959.

Re: Unique Piece
Yup. Zodiac, 1961 promo. The gold leaf pattern is often seen cracked, my guess is from putting it in a microwave oven. In condition like this one, and with the original patterned lid and candle warmer, maybe $50. Sold listings on eBay would be a better gauge of current values. BFxR9lvEaP5 Identify p...

Re: Most Recent Casserole Find
An excellent find for the price. Probably worth $50 or more in EX condition. They came as a set with a reversible cork trivet with indentations to fit either. Having the trivet would increase value.

This was in the room I was looking when my wife came into the store. They were priced decently enough, much better than the $45 lone pink Gooseberry. Noticed a sign, "All glassware this room 30% off".

Re: Open the box or leave it sealed?
As strange as it may seem, leaving it sealed in box will have higher value than if you open it. Not to say astronomically higher value, but higher. As long as shaking the box indicates no breakage, you can confidently describe the condition as "mint". Verde was 1967-72, so not terribly old...
