Re: Flamingo Pink Nesting Bowls
Pyrex bowls and dishes produced in the pink color are often mistakenly called flamingo pink. Flamingo Pyrex is a much bolder fuchsia, however, and no nesting bowls were produced in Flamingo. In perfect condition, that asking price for a pink 400 set would not be out of line in today's market. One wo...

Re: Mis-marked Pyrex bowl
It's obvious from photos including an entire set with a reversed 441 and a dealer's hang tag that the photo image is not flipped. By what mechanism the reversal occurred is not as important as the fact that it could and did occur. Since the process is an automated one, with hundreds of bowls passing...

Re: Mis-marked Pyrex bowl
Apparently, it was possible, though not likely, for screens to be installed backwards. It would also mean, though, that potentially dozens or even hundreds of bowls could be produced before the error was caught, and that's assuming QC even considered it a problem. Definitely not unicorns, though. I ...

Re: Mis-marked Pyrex bowl
Hard to tell from the photo if the reverse pattern one is a 402 or a 403. Which size is yours? And is the pattern reversed on both sides?

Re: Mis-marked Pyrex bowl
There is a section under the post composition window titled "Upload attachment". An image from your computer can be attached this way. The image must not be too large dimensionally or an error will result. 800x600 or smaller is best. Or you can just link to a photo if on a hosting site lik...

Re: Mis-marked Pyrex bowl
If a Cinderella 441, yes, there are known "reverse" examples. Not a flaw, per se, just a mis-made or mis-installed screen on a decoration line. A similar reverse exists on some 072 butter dishes, but is more unusual because that pattern is not symmetrical. Related: http://www.pyrexcollecto...

Re: Help with Pourable Bowls
If they're all white, it's because their original color was stripped by, in all likelihood, repeated runs through an automatic dishwasher. There were no plain opal standard production versions of this shape.

Re: Newbie help - turquoise dinnerware
Tableware is a bit out of my Pyrex wheelhouse. I've sent a PM to a Pyrex tableware collector here who might be able to help.

Not that I'm aware of. Metal ones, especially if silver plated, might.

Re: 1.5 Qt. Casserole Dish with Wooden Holder--Help!
There were apparently enough companies that manufactured mounters, as they are called, and sourced Pyrex dishes to fit them that Corning published guides with exact dimensions of Pyrex casseroles in order to accommodate them. Without markings it's unlikely the maker can be determined.
