Pink or Desert Rose 525B and Pink or Desert Rose 525C

Post by SuzanneA » Wed Apr 05, 2017 1:52 pm

Hello-
I recently found a pristine pink hostess set 525B and 525C at a thrift store and bought it solely for the color. Around the Pyrex logo on the bottom of the dish are capital "Ts" forming a circle around the word Pyrex. There is little on the internet regarding this specific color. Any information on my new purchase is welcome! Thank you.

The color is usually referred to as "rose". It's an unusual color, and is neither pink nor flamingo. The backstamp with the circle of Ts is usually referred to as a "sunshine" stamp. The period in which it was used would be late 40 to early 50s. It's rare, and if in EX condition is quite a find.
