Pyrex cradle

Post by Bonnie Scott »

I bought this last week. It looks like one in the picture under an Americana casserole. It's not very big, maybe an 043?

That or for Golden Tulip, if they aren't already the same.

Have you seen the repro brackets?

I've seen a repro that somebody wanted over #$100 for, but, no, not those. If I put my mind to it, I could probably make one, but...

If they were under $20, shipped, I might consider it.

I was going to say two for $30 would be better but now I am wondering if all Pyrex chip and dips came with the same bracket? From what I can see on the Americana picture you have it looks like a different bracket. I was thinking about one for that turquoise square set. We don't have brackets for any of them :(

Maybe I should just get one of these and stop worrying about brackets. Easier said than done. Family Flair chip and dip.

There were 3 styles of chip dip brackets. The second is the one the bowl sits on a ring and a ball end prong hooks over the top. It was used both on 401/404 sets and on the 441/444 Ivy. The other is the one with the band for the square hostess bowl.

Can't see paying more for the bracket than I did for the Balloons.

Jessica traded the Black Rooster we found for $8. She traded with the girl I got the Americana set from. Jenna already had the cradle for the rooster so she really needed it. An empty Pyrex cradle is just sad.

True. I had an 045 Pressed Flowers cradle, but then bought an 045 and 043 complete. Guess I need another 045 PF.
