I am hopeful that your latest purchase will lead to an expansion of the information you have about Fire king patterns and such. I can't speak for other parts of the country but in these parts Pyrex is getting hard to come by and Fire king is not as easy to find as it once was. There are people who collect Fire king and the information sources for them are lacking. Also, I could see how being able to identify Fire king would be helpful to the Pyrex collector. There is a dot Fire king mixing bowl set at one of the stores near me but the owner wants to much for it. :-(

Doug, I know you don't buy anything without researching it. What is that casserole called? Is it just orange and red Fire King? Was there a pattern name?

I've seen it called red poppy and red hot poppy, but not consistently either one. Not sure if it's in any way "official" or just collector applied names. I didn't research it. I had seen it before, but this one was in perfect condition, and I like the colors, so...

I went looking for info and only found a little over on Wikipedia, then I got distracted by this picture. Look at the set on the far right. Those multi color bowls are beautiful. I want some.

I found this cool book full of Fire King information, unfortunately I don't read Japanese.

The "museum" appears to be in the back yard of a reasonably nice residential neighborhood. Seems more like a vanity project than an actual visitable establishment. The neighborhood association would probably have something to say about it if it were open to the public.

I noticed that also. I saw in the for sale section that he had original molds also. I wonder if he didn't buy the contents of a factory? I must admit that looking at his personal collection made me feel a lot less like a hoarder. I just have a "few" pieces.

Doug, your Willow dish inspired me to look for some of the blue onion dishes. I didn't find blue but I did find these two.

I found some information about the company here.

It's not Pyrex but it certainly qualifies as vintage kitchenware.
