Was feeling pretty smug about the Nouveau Floral underplate for $1.50, until I got to the next stop. Finally, the elusive red Friendship 502. It was part of a lot marked "3 red dishes with lids".

It all starts innocently enough. You find one piece from a pattern collection, and then you have to have... The Rest. In this case, fortunately, "the rest" is not so many pieces. Pink Gooseberry (1957-1966) was limited to the 440 Cinderella nesting bowl set, the 470 series Cinderella round casseroles, and a refrigerator set. How much it will end up costing, however, remains to be seen.
