Pyrex Pattern: CRS Red & Orange Bowls

Description: 400 series nesting mixing bowls in alternating rust red and burnt orange.401 and 403 are red; 402 and 404 are orange. Sold in sets in plain cartons marked only "400 CRS", apparently from the Corning Glass Center retail store.
Notes: The period of production is based upon the 401, 402, and 403 having the imperial/metric capacity backstamps of that time. The 404s have the earlier round backstamp. 404 is same as Daisy. A 404 in the rust red is known to exist. Empirical observation of both CRS Red & Orange and FlameGlo sets indicate the base colors are identical. CRS 400 may have been a liquidation of discontinued, unfinished FlameGlo inventory.
